Navigating T-Cell-Directed Therapies in Transformed Follicular Lymphoma
Abstract
Simple Summary Transformed follicular lymphoma (tFL) is a subtype of diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL) that arises from follicular lymphoma. tFL displays aggressive disease biology and is managed with intensive chemotherapy. Relapses are common, and CAR-T and bispecifics, therapies which reprogram the immune system to recognize and target malignant B-cells, are often used. While much is known about outcomes of these therapies in DLBCL, less is known about their activity in the tFL subtype specifically. While there is no overwhelming evidence of tFL being an advantaged group among DLBCL subtypes when treated with T-cell-engaging therapies, some signals are encouraging. More data are needed to characterize CAR-T and bispecific efficacy in tFL.
