ANALYSIS OF LANDSCAPE AND ARCHITECTURAL ORGANIZATION OF TRANSIT URBAN SPACES OF SMALL TOWNS ON THE EXAMPLE OF PAVLOVSK, VORONEZH REGION
Abstract
The article examines the features of landscape-architectural organization of transit urban spaces using the example of the small historical town of Pavlovsk in the Voronezh Region. The relevance of the study is due to the need for an integrated approach to the formation of transit spaces in small towns that combine transport, recreational and tourist functions. Based on the analysis of theoretical sources and field studies, the key elements of the town’s transit structure are identified: entrance groups, the Don River embankment, historical streets, public spaces and water routes. The problems of the existing organization of transit spaces are identified, including the gap between the federal highway M-4 «Don» and the historical center, the need to preserve the historical environment during infrastructure development, and the integration of natural objects. The principles of optimizing the landscape-architectural organization of transit spaces are proposed, taking into account local identity, historical and cultural heritage, and natural context. The results of the study can be used in the development of improvement projects and territorial planning of small historical towns.
