Content validation of a script and storyboard for an educational video on adolescent mental disorders for nursing consultations
Abstract
Abstract Objectives: to develop and validate the content of a script and storyboard for an educational video on adolescent mental disorders, aiming to support nursing consultations. Methods: A methodological study of content development and validation conducted with Primary Health Care nurses. Validation was performed using the Content Validity Index (CVI ≥ 0.80) and the modified Kappa coefficient (K* > 0.74). Results: most items showed an I-CVI (Item-Level Content Validity Index) greater than 0.80, indicating high agreement among the evaluators. One item had an I-CVI of 0.79, a value considered acceptable according to methodological criteria. The experts’ suggestions contributed to improving the clarity and organization of the material. Conclusion: the script and storyboard demonstrated content validity, enabling the production of the educational video, which emerges as an educational technology potentially applicable in the context of care practice.
