ANALYSIS OF FOREST FIRE CONTROL METHODS USING THE SOMOV FORESTRY IN THE VORONEZH REGION AS AN EXAMPLE
Abstract
The elimination of forest fires is a priority task for the state at the current stage. The rules and regulations of environmental protection are set out in the Forest Code of the Russian Federation (Chapter 5, “Protection and Conservation of Forests”). The successful implementation of this task is impossible without equipping forest fire departments with advanced and effective technologies for detecting and extinguishing fires, based on modern scientific developments and technological advancements. The purpose of this study was to analyze the methods used to combat forest fires in Somovskoye Forestry and to develop recommendations to improve their effectiveness. The main cause of forest fires is anthropogenic activity, which accounts for more than 80% of all fires. Therefore, it is important to educate citizens about the importance of preserving forest resources from an early age. It is also necessary to increase awareness about preventing forest fires.
