Abstract
Writers hold intents at many levels, from overarching goals to concrete wording, and evolve them by periodically popping back up from the text to higher-level intents. Generative AI co-writing disrupts this practice. Dense drafts capture attention and trap writers in local editing; higher-level intents stall while lower-level ones drift from them unnoticed, a breakdown we term intent incoherence. Our formative study traced this breakdown from attention capture through silent drift to failed reconciliation. We present IntentWeaver, which supports intent evolution while sustaining coherence in human-AI co-writing. It derives an intent hierarchy from the draft and writer interactions, evaluates each intent's fulfillment and cross-level coherence at every change, and propagates consequences across intent levels. In a within-subjects study (N=24) against a baseline, participants using IntentWeaver revisited and evolved higher-level intents more often, with fewer unnoticed deviations, and produced texts better realizing them. We further discuss design implications for emergent intents.
This publication proposes a definition and a classification of agile software development approaches and analyses ten software development methods that can be characterized as being "agile" against the defined criterion.

The study shows that agile practices improve both informal and formal communication, but indicates that, in larger development situations involving multiple external stakeholders, a mismatch of adequate communication mechanisms can sometimes even hinder the communication.

The results indicate that software engineering work practices are chosen opportunistically, adapted and configured to provide value under the constrains imposed by the startup context.

The perception of the impact of agile methods is predominantly positive, and several challenge areas were discovered, but based on this study, agile methods are here to stay.

AI agents can generate code at a scale that’s hard for humans to review line-by-line. PDD Kit helps ensure the code is doing what the developer intended by creating formal specifications and testing against them. It converts developer intent into a Verus specification, proves AI-generated code meets it for every input, and uses tests where proofs aren't practical. Developers review intent, not every line.
