Abstract

Purpose: This study aimed to evaluate the validity and reliability of the Turkish 12-item Occupational Health Literacy Scale (OHLS) among undergraduate health sciences students. Materials and Methods: A methodological psychometric design was used with 343 undergraduate health sciences students. Test–retest reliability was assessed over a 7-day interval using ICC(3,1) in participants with matched baseline (T1)–retest (T2) data (n=303). Internal consistency was examined using Cronbach’s alpha. Construct validity was evaluated via confirmatory factor analysis, and convergent validity was examined using correlations with HLS19-Q12. Results: The mean age was 21.03±2.22 years and 66.2% of participants were female. Internal consistency was high for the total score (α=0.907), good for the Knowledge/skills subscale (α=0.852), and acceptable for the Willingness/responsibility subscale (α=0.741). Test–retest reliability was good for the total score (ICC=0.847), with subscale ICCs ranging from 0.682 to 0.701. CFA supported a two-factor structure with acceptable-to-good model fit (CFI=0.96, TLI=0.95, RMSEA=0.05, SRMR=0.05). Correlations with HLS19-Q12 were significant (p
