Strategi Guru Tahfidz dalam Membentuk Kedisiplinan dan Kualitas Hafalan Al Qur’an Santri Pondok Pesantren Ummahatul Muttaqin Amin

Abstract

This study aims to describe the strategy of tahfidz teachers in shaping the discipline and quality of memorization of the Qur'an for students, the efforts made by tahfidz teachers, as well as supporting and inhibiting factors in the implementation of the tahfidz program at the Ummahatul Muttaqin Amin Islamic Boarding School. This study uses a qualitative approach with interview, observation, and documentation methods. The research informants consisted of the head of the Islamic boarding school, tahfidz teachers, and students who participated in the tahfidz Al-Qur'an program. The results of the study show that the strategy of tahfidz teachers in shaping the discipline and quality of students' memorization of the Qur'an is carried out through direct supervision, habituation, and motivation. The efforts made by tahfidz teachers include individual guidance to students and periodic memorization evaluations to monitor the progress of memorization and correct reading errors. Supporting factors for the implementation of the tahfidz program include a conducive pesantren environment, teacher support, parental cooperation, and a regular schedule of tahfidz activities, while inhibiting factors include low motivation of some students, lack of consistency in carrying out muraja'ah, difficulty managing time, and concentration disturbances when memorizing. These obstacles are overcome through continuous motivation, individual guidance, strengthening muraja'ah activities, and cooperation between teachers and parents. In conclusion, the tahfidz teacher's strategy applied through supervision, habituation, and motivation plays an important role in forming discipline and improving the quality of students' memorization of the Qur'an. The success of the implementation of the tahfidz program is influenced by the synergy between teachers, students, parents, and the pesantren environment so that it is able to create an effective and sustainable tahfidz learning process.
