Black Box Testing across 13 scenarios showed that all tested functions operated as expected, including product management, sales transactions, automatic stock updates, transaction history, monthly reports, and role-based access control.
Abstract
The Kranggan Merah Putih Cooperative (KKMP) still records sales and inventory manually, causing slower data retrieval, stock monitoring, and report preparation while increasing the risk of inventory discrepancies. This study aims to design and develop an Android-based sales and inventory system that integrates transactions, stock management, and reporting in one application. The study employed a Research and Development (R&D) method with a Prototype approach. The application was developed using Kotlin and Jetpack Compose, Firebase Authentication for user authentication, Cloud Firestore for data storage, Cloudinary for product images, and barcode scanning. Black Box Testing across 13 scenarios showed that all tested functions operated as expected, including product management, sales transactions, automatic stock updates, transaction history, monthly reports, and role-based access control. The results indicate that the application can support integrated operational management of sales and inventory at KKMP Kranggan in a more structured and accurate manner.
