TL;DR

The expression profiles of AKT-associated lncRNAs, namely LINC-ROR, MALAT1, and UCA1, in peripheral blood samples from patients with BD support the involvement of AKT-associated lncRNAs in BD pathophysiology and suggest that UCA1 may represent a candidate biomarker requiring further validation in larger independent cohorts.

Altered hsa_circ_0005567 expression in schizophrenia: exploratory clinical associations and cellular evidence involving RPL7A.

BACKGROUND Schizophrenia (SCZ) is a chronic mental disorder with unknown etiology and complex pathophysiology. Circular RNAs (circRNAs) have emerged as important regulators in neuropsychiatric disorders. This study investigated the clinical relevance, functional role, and potential mechanism of hsa_circ_0005567 in SCZ....

The expressions and m6A methylation modification patterns of mRNAs and lncRNAs in major depressive disorder

Objective To systematically characterize the epitranscriptomic landscape of N6-methyladenosine (m6A) methylation in major depressive disorder (MDD) and elucidate its functional consequences on mRNA and lncRNA regulation. Methods We performed comprehensive m6A methylome profiling using microarray analysis of peripheral...

Long Noncoding RNAs (lncRNAs) as Biomarkers of Prognosis in TNBC and Non-TNBC Breast Cancer Patients

This computational study identifies several candidate lncRNAs associated with clinical outcomes in breast cancer, which should be interpreted as preliminary candidates, which require future validation and functional studies to determine their biological roles and evaluate their potential as prognostic biomarkers.

IL1B-centered immune dysregulation involving IL7R, CCR7, ITGB2 and IRF1 across insomnia and inflammatory bowel disease

Background Insomnia is a prevalent sleep disorder that strongly affects one’s quality of life and physical well-being. Inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) is a chronic inflammatory condition of the intestines, and a majority of IBD patients suffer from comorbid insomnia. However, the shared molecular features linking inso...

Integrative Pan‐Cancer Characterization of lncRNA UPK1A‐AS1 and Its Role in Hypoxia‐Associated Sorafenib Resistance in Hepatocellular Carcinoma

It is suggested that UPK1A-AS1 is a hypoxia‐inducible oncogenic lncRNA that plays dual roles in cancer, with cancer type‐dependent associations with progression and immune modulation across malignancies and mechanistically mediating hypoxia‐associated drug resistance in HCC.
