Pharmacological mTOR pathway activation does not enhance trophectoderm differentiation in bovine embryos.

In conclusion, pharmacological activation of the mTOR pathway did not positively influence TE differentiation in bovine embryos; however, it effectively rescued the unexpected negative effects induced by the vehicle on TE cell number and YAP1 signaling.

Pcgf5 controls the exit from totipotency in mouse embryonic stem cells.

It is shown that among the six Pcgf paralogs, Pcgf5, which is most prominently upregulated in 2CLCs and forms an MERVL-driven chimeric transcript (Pcgf5MT2C_Mm) during ZGA in 2-cell embryos, controls exit from the 2C-like state in mouse ESCs.

Type I PRMTs Play a Role in Mammalian Embryonic Lineage Specification

Type I PRMT-mediated ADMA is identified as an essential epigenetic regulator of early mammalian lineage specification and support a conserved ADMA–Hippo regulatory axis linking arginine methylation to embryonic cell fate decisions.

ZAR1/ZAR2-mediated maternal mRNA fate control in oocyte maturation and early embryonic development

The link between decreased ZAR1/ZAR2 expression and abnormal epigenetic modifications in aged oocytes, as well as the relationship between human ZAR1 variants and oocyte maturation disorders and preimplantation embryonic developmental arrest, requires further validation through additional functional experiments and cli...
