Abstract

Characterizing the entanglement in multipartite quantum systems remains a central challenge in the theory of quantum entanglement. We establish a comprehensive framework for constructing k$k$ ‐entanglement measures by leveraging bipartite entanglement measures and general m$m$ ‐entanglement measures ( m≤k$m \le k$ ) with arithmetic and geometric averaging schemes. Numerical examples demonstrate that these measures outperform the existing ones, such as k$k$ ‐ME concurrence, geometric mean (k‐GM) concurrence, and the generalized k$k$ ‐entanglement measure Γk-ME$\Gamma _{k\text{-ME}}$ by inducing distinct entanglement orderings and offering superior resolution. Furthermore, we reveal the operational relationship between the k$k$ ‐entanglement and the local quantum coherence, verifying that the persistence of entanglement is intrinsically constrained by the system's capacity to maintain the local coherence. Finally, to overcome the inherent limitation of the conventional three‐tangle τ3$\tau _3$ in characterizing the genuine multipartite entanglement of the GHZ‐W mixed states, we design a novel GME measure. Numerical results confirm that this measure effectively eliminates the detection blind spots where τ3$\tau _3$ vanishes, providing a complete and practical mathematical tool for the quantitative analysis of genuine multipartite quantum correlations.

Quantifying Multipartite Entanglement Based on unified entropy

In this paper, we investigate the characterization of multipartite entanglement based on the unified $(q,s)$-entropy framework. For bipartite quantum states, we propose an entanglement measure $E_{q,s}^{A|B}(\rho)$ based on unified entropy and derive several analytical lower bounds for it using local orthonormal observ...

Global Entanglement Quantification via Classical Shadows

Detecting and characterizing quantum correlations are tasks of great relevance in quantum information. More specifically, quantifying the amount of multipartite entanglement is a known difficult task, even for pure states. To this end, several entanglement measures have been proposed, although there is currently no uni...

Multipartite entanglement spreads

The entanglement structure of a bipartite pure state is characterized by its entanglement spectrum, or equivalently, by the family of R\'{e}nyi-$k$ entanglement entropies with integer $k$. Taking the difference of two such entropies defines a quantity known as an entanglement spread, that is monotonous under local oper...

Tripartite entanglement in chaotic eigenstates

It is now well-established that classical statistical mechanics emerges from the entanglement structure of quantum chaotic systems, as quantified by the (subsystem) eigenstate thermalization hypothesis (ETH). While this statement rests on the well-studied bipartite entanglement of the eigenstates of such systems, recen...

Genuine Tripartite Entanglement Selects Gauge-Invariant Theories

Recent studies have explored whether physical constants and symmetries can be selected by extremizing bipartite entanglement entropy. We extend this approach to a three-particle setting. Specifically, we consider a $2+1$-particle system in which particles $B$ and $C$ are initially entangled, and then particles $A$ and...

Can Multipartite Entanglement Probe Wormhole Moduli Invisible to Bipartite Entanglement?

We ask whether multipartite entanglement can probe bulk moduli invisible to bipartite entanglement. We study this question in an explicit family of four-boundary AdS$_3$ wormholes related by a Fenchel-Nielsen twist $\tau$, asking whether the complete set of bipartite RT entropies can remain exactly $\tau$-independent w...
