Abstract
The growing rise of the occurrence of Carbapenem-Resistant Acinetobacter baumannii (CRAB) in critical care units is a disaster of the existing antimicrobial protocols, with the main cause of this problem being the dissemination of oxacillinase (OXA) and metallo-beta-lactamase (MBL) genes. In the present study, a cross-sectional molecular analysis of 215 clinical isolates was used to assess the antimicrobial susceptibility and define the genotypic presence of blaOXA-23, blaOXA-51 and blaNDM-1 by using multiplex PCR assays in a tertiary care center. The resistance to meropenem was found to be 92.5% phenotypically and intrinsic blaOXA-51 was identified in 100% of isolates with acquired blaOXA-23 (78.6) and blaNDM-1 (34.4) in 22.3%. Thus, data shows the rise of A. baumannii strains that are co-producing OXA and NDM enzymes is an indication of the transition to pan-drug resistance. Hence, combined molecular surveillance and stewardship measures are in urgent need.
These effusions result in a convergence of Class B metallo-2-lactamases (blaIMP) and Class D oxacillinases (blaOXA) in Klebsiella pneumoniae to produce very difficult to diagnose and treat complex multidrug-resistant phenotypes. Fifteen phenotypic susceptibility testing and multiplex PCR were performed on 185 carbapene...
Carbapenem resistance driven by carbapenemase production in Gram-negative bacteria is a global threat. Carbapenem-resistant Acinetobacter baumannii (CRAb) is a critical priority pathogen listed by the World Health Organization (WHO). While blaOXA-23 and blaOXA-24/40-like are most frequently reported in CRAb, an increas...

It is indicated that blaOXA-23 is the predominant contributor to carbapenem resistance among A. baumannii isolates in Baghdad, while blaOXA-24 and blaOXA-58 are also increasingly prevalent.

Background
Carbapenem-resistant Acinetobacter baumannii (CRAB) is a World Health Organization critical-priority pathogen, but the contribution of blaOXA-23 and blaNDM co-carriage to resistance across antimicrobial classes is poorly defined in southern Vietnam.

Carbapenem-Resistant Pseudomonas aeruginosa (CRPA) is becoming a growing problem in tertiary healthcare facilities with the acquisition of metallo-beta-lactamase (MBL) genes, specifically the Verona Integron-encoded Metallo-beta-lactamase (VIM) gene, making standard 37 -lactam-based treatment of this pathogen ineffecti...
INTRODUCTION
Carbapenemase-producing Enterobacterales (CPE) have widely emerged as a global health threat due to the spread of resistance genes such as New Delhi metallo-β-lactamase (blaNDM) and oxacillinase-48-like β-lactamases (blaOXA-48-like). Data on the molecular epidemiology of CPE in northern Morocco remain limi...
