Abstract

This article analyzes the use of large language models (ChatGPT and similar models) by clients in psychological practice to solve personal and emotional problems. It examines the mechanisms by which artificial intelligence (AI) responses objectively reproduce basic psychological counseling techniques: active listening, reflection, validation, and psychoeducation. Based on research data from 2023-2025, this article analyzes both the potential for using AI as an auxiliary tool and systemic risks, including privacy concerns, model "hallucinations," and lack of clinical accountability. Particular attention is paid to the most vulnerable group—clients in crisis and suicidal states. In the context of the psychophysiological aspects of interaction with digital devices, the work of R.R. Khalfina on fatigue patterns and biological factors of adaptation to the digital environment is discussed. Practical recommendations for professionals on integrating this phenomenon into therapeutic work while adhering to ethical standards and safety principles are offered.
