TL;DR
The complete mitogenome of Androctonus crassicauda Olivier, 1807 is reconstructed to increase the taxonomic sampling of species available for studies based on mitogenomes, and enhances the understanding of the evolution of Buthidae mitogenomes.
The mitogenome-based phylogenetic inference corroborates the monophyly of Torinae and suggests a close evolutionary relationship among N. sumatranus, N. hendersoni, and N. soroides, which may be associated with their shared biogeographic history in the Sundaland region.

Phylogenetic analyses based on partitioned mitochondrial datasets strongly support the monophyly of the subfamily Reduviinae and reveal that A. geniculata forms a close sister-group relationship with A. ruficeps and A. pedestris.

The infraorder Tabanomorpha represents a key lineage within the lower Brachycera; however, the phylogenetic placement of several families, including Pelecorhynchidae, remains incompletely resolved owing to the lack of mitogenomic data. In this study, we sequenced and characterized the complete mitochondrial genome of P...

The intergeneric attraction of Pammene nemorosa to sex pheromone traps targeting the Oriental fruit moth, Grapholita molesta (Lepidoptera: Tortricidae), may compromise the reliability of pest monitoring in apple orchards, yet the evolutionary context of this behavioral overlap remains unclear. Here, we sequenced and...

Nucleotide diversity and evolutionary rate analyses across mitogenomes of Oedipodinae revealed pervasive purifying selection acting on all 13 PCGs, which strongly supported M. wagneri as a monophyletic lineage within the subfamily Oedipodinae.
ABSTRACT The Changbai Mountain range is one of the key glacial refugia in Northeast Asia. Mesenchytraeus exhibits high species diversity, strong endemism, and widespread cryptic species in this region, for which mitogenomes provide useful molecular markers for exploring cryptic species complexes. This makes Mesenchytra...
