In the absence of a standardized, OC‐specific assessment methodology, the Combined Positive Score (CPS) with cutoffs of ≥ 1 and ≥ 10, applied in other tumor types, represents a pragmatic approach.
Abstract
Programmed death‐ligand 1 (PD‐L1) has emerged as a potential biomarker for prognosis and treatment response in various solid tumors. However, its clinical relevance in ovarian carcinoma (OC) remains unclear, with published studies reporting inconsistent associations with platinum sensitivity and survival. These discrepancies are likely related to the biological heterogeneity of OC and methodological variability in PD‐L1 evaluation. In the absence of a standardized, OC‐specific assessment methodology, the Combined Positive Score (CPS) with cutoffs of ≥ 1 and ≥ 10, applied in other tumor types, represents a pragmatic approach.
Background: Immune checkpoint blockade has changed the treatment of high-risk early-stage triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC), yet the clinical role of programmed death-ligand 1 (PD-L1) expression in the neoadjuvant setting remains unsettled. PD-L1 may identify an immune-enriched tumor microenvironment and therefore c...

The FDA Oncologic Drugs Advisory Committee (ODAC) highlighted that the risk–benefit profile for patients with low PD‐L1 expression remains unclear in front‐line treatment of HER2‐negative gastric and gastroesophageal junction (GC/GEJ) cancer with PD‐(L)1 therapy. The first PD‐1/CTLA‐4 bispecific antibody (BsAb), cadoni...

Objective This study aimed to systematically assess the predictive value of microsatellite instability (MSI) combined with programmed death-ligand 1 (PD-L1) expression for prognosis and immunotherapy response in patients with gastric cancer (GC). Methods An individual patient data (IPD) meta-analysis was performed in a...

The optimal sequencing of programmed cell death protein 1 (PD‐1) inhibitors relative to locoregional therapy (LRT) in unresectable hepatocellular carcinoma (uHCC) remains undefined. This study evaluated the impact of PD‐1 inhibitor timing on outcomes in patients receiving hepatic arterial infusion chemotherapy (HAIC) o...

Despite the recognized biological relevance of the PD-1/PD-L1 axis in immune evasion, the prognostic significance of PD-L1 expression in surgically treated oral squamous cell cancer (OSCC) patients remains largely unclear. To investigate the prognostic significance of PD-L1 expression in a large cohort of OSCC patients...

ABSTRACT In a patient with advanced ovarian cancer showing limited response to paclitaxel–carboplatin, adding sintilimab was associated with R0 cytoreduction and sustained disease‐free status during olaparib–bevacizumab maintenance. This case provides a rationale for further investigation of PD‐1 blockade as neoadjuvan...
