Abstract
The Nordic Optical Telescope Transient Explorer (NTE) is a new multiarm imaging and spectroscopic instrument being developed for the Nordic Optical Telescope (NOT). In spectroscopic mode, NTE provides simultaneous wavelength coverage from 320nm to 2440nm through three independent arms. To support the time-critical science goals of NTE, a robust and highly automated data reduction system is required, capable of delivering both quick-look products for real-time observing decisions and fully calibrated science data. We present the current status of the NTE spectrograph data reduction pipeline and its validation using simulated instrument data. The pipeline is built upon the PypeIt spectroscopic reduction framework. We describe the development of simulated datasets used to test the reduction workflow prior to first light, including wavelength calibration, object extraction, flux calibration, and co-addition across echelle orders and spectrograph arms. We demonstrate successful end-to-end reductions of simulated observations spanning the full wavelength range of the instrument. In addition, we describe our approach to fully automating PypeIt and integrating it into the observatory software architecture, using currently operational instrument ALFOSC as a testbed. We also present an algorithm for echelle order rectification and stitching that is not native to the PypeIt framework. These developments establish the foundation for both real-time and archival processing of NTE data and provide a framework for continued pipeline development ahead of instrument commissioning.
Current operational tests show that Py7DT can process a typical nightly survey volume within the daily time budget while producing prompt ToO products on an approximately one-hour end-to-end timescale when the target is immediately observable.

We developed a near-IR, échelle-like, fiber-fed spectrograph demonstrator using a VIPA instead of an échelle grating, achieving a high spectral resolution (R=80,000) over a 220 nm range with 38% efficiency (from fiber exit to H2RG detector). Designed to characterize exoplanets at high spectral resolution with an XAO in...

Abstract Veloce began operations in tandem with the Transiting Exoplanet Survey Satellite (TESS), at a time marked by rapid growth in the number of known exoplanets. This growth underscores Veloce’s core purpose: the detection of small planets orbiting cool stars. The spectrograph is mounted on the Anglo-Australian Tel...

The Son Of X-Shooter (SOXS) instrument is a new spectroscopic facility designed to equip the ESO's New Technology Telescope (NTT) with broad-band spectroscopic capabilities optimized for time-domain and transient astrophysics. Covering the 0.35–2.0 μm wavelength range with two spectrographic arms working simultaneously...

In this contribution, we present the current status and recent advances in the Real-Time Analysis (RTA) framework being developed for the Cherenkov Telescope Array Observatory (CTAO). Rapidly variable and short-lived gamma ray phenomena, such as gamma ray bursts and flaring active galactic nuclei, require low-latency r...

Ground-based spectrographs operating in the near-infrared (NIR) regime are hampered by various absorption and emission features of Earth’s atmosphere. While considerable attention has been paid to mitigating telluric absorption, correcting telluric emission features remains non-trivial and can significantly affect the...
