The Iseult Coil, a Hybrid RF Coil for the First Human Brain Images at 11.7 T: Receive Performance Comparison With a Twin Coil at 7 T

The Iseult scanner delivered the first human brain images at 11.7 T. Here, we bring forth the design of the RF coil used for these acquisitions, featuring 8 transmit and 32 receive channels, then evaluate its SNR and g‐factor advantages with respect to a similar coil at 7 T. We attempt a deduction of the SNR dependency...

High Dynamic Range Turbo-FLASH B1 Mapping for Characterizing Multi-Transmit Multi-Receive RF Arrays, Validated at 7 T and 11.7 T.

This work presents a new B1 + and B1 - model-based fitting approach for interferometric presaturated TurboFLASH data, which improves B1 + and B1 - mapping robustness to noise and enables more flexible satTFL acquisition scheme, allowing better trade-offs between accuracy and scan time.

Human fMRI at 11.7T: Assessing feasibility, stability, and reliability on the Iseult scanner

The results demonstrate the feasibility and reliability of whole-brain human fMRI at 11.7T and constitute a first-quality control milestone to further increase resolution at that field strength and demonstrate the feasibility and reliability of the Default Mode Network in resting state.
