Mitochondrial COI evidence of recent expansion and panmixia in Bangladesh Penaeus monodon, with distinct phylogeographic lineages in the Indo-Pacific

The data indicate that P. monodon in the Bay of Bengal is a haplotypically diverse but genetically shallow panmictic population, possibly in consequence of recent expansion and the contrast with other Indo-Pacific populations is discussed.
