TL;DR

The data indicate that P. monodon in the Bay of Bengal is a haplotypically diverse but genetically shallow panmictic population, possibly in consequence of recent expansion and the contrast with other Indo-Pacific populations is discussed.

Phylogeography of the endangered ant species Atta robusta Borgmeier, 1939 (Formicidae: Myrmicinae): insights into genetic structure, demographic history, and conservation priorities

The results indicate shallow genetic structure and incomplete spatial differentiation across the species range, highlighting the importance of preserving remnant restinga habitats and maintaining landscape connectivity to safeguard genetic diversity in A. robusta and other habitat-specialist ants.

Mitochondrial genetic diversity and population structure of Glyphoglossus guttulatus Blyth, 1856 (Anura: Microhylidae) across the Thai Lower Mekong Basin and adjacent northern drainage systems

The findings reveal pronounced mitochondrial population structure in G. guttulatus and suggest that geographic distance is more closely associated with population genetic differentiation than contemporary drainage-basin or major-river-system boundaries.

MITOGENOME REPORT The complete mitochondrial genome of Rhynocoris altaicus Kiritshenko, 1926 (Hemiptera: Heteroptera: Reduviidae)

Abstract In this study, we assembled and characterized the complete mitochondrial genome of Rhynocoris altaicus Kiritshenko, 1926, a predatory assassin bug distributed in the eastern Palearctic that feeds mainly on lepidopteran pests. The circular mitogenome is 16,177 bp with 70.20% A+T, comprising the typical set of 3...

Genomic evidence for genetic erosion and strong population subdivision in Amomum hainanense (Zingiberaceae), an endangered island endemic plant from Hainan, China

Abstract Amomum hainanense is an endangered understorey herb narrowly distributed in tropical montane forests of Hainan Island, China, but its evolutionary history and conservation status remain poorly understood because genomic information is scarce. Here, we used double-digest restriction site-associated DNA sequenci...

Recent Population Genetic Divergence in Two Globose Cacti Endemic to the Queretano–Hidalguense Desert, Mexico

Mammillaria parkinsonii and M. perbella are species endemic to the Queretano–Hidalguense Desert (QHD), a potential globose cacti Pleistocene refuge. We tested if the phylogeographic and genetic structures of these species are temporally consistent with the Pleistocene glacial refuge hypothesis. In this case, there woul...
