How Life Is Executed

Sep 2026 · Zenodo (CERN European Organization for Nuclear Research)

Abstract

How Life Is Executed presents an integrated framework for understanding life as a process in which information is executed, material structures are produced, boundaries are maintained, and the capacity for execution is reconstructed across generations. The book applies WRRA (Wonsik Reality-Renderer Architecture)—a framework inspired by the principle of minimal computation—to molecular biology, systems biology, computational biology, synthetic biology, epigenetics, and origin-of-life research. Rather than treating DNA as life itself or as a complete blueprint, it interprets DNA as SOURCE and examines how SOURCE passes through LAW and STATE before being implemented by material RENDERERS such as RNA, proteins, ribosomes, metabolism, membranes, and cellular machinery. Its main subjects include DNA–protein execution, gene regulation, cell-free protein synthesis, the PURE system, minimal genomes, JCVI-syn3A, mother-to-daughter molecular partitioning, synthetic protocells, autonomous reproduction, lineage closure, epigenetic memory, chromatin accessibility, cell differentiation, lineage tracing, aging, cancer, gene editing, spatial niches, and the operational boundary between nonliving chemical systems and the first living systems. The book distinguishes established experimental evidence from theoretical interpretation, computational inference, and untested propositions. It also presents core equations, falsifiability criteria, reproducibility protocols, a DOI index, and experimental proposals for testing self-regeneration, cellular autonomy, inherited molecular memory, and write–erase–rewrite causality. This revised English edition is intended for researchers and readers interested in molecular biology, synthetic cells, minimal life, biological information, complex systems, computational models of life, biotechnology, and the origin and continuity of living systems. Scrum in a Multiproject Environment: An Ethnographically-Inspired Case Study on the Adoption Challenges

Agile methods continue to gain popularity. In particular, the Scrum method appears to be on the verge of becoming a de-facto standard in the industry, leading the so called Agile movement. While there are success stories and recommendations, there is little scientifically valid evidence of the challenges in the adoptio...
