Abstract
This study aims to improve student learning outcomes in identifying the main idea of a paragraph using flashcards in the fourth-grade class at SDN Manjalling, Gowa Regency. The study employs a quantitative approach using a pre-experimental method and a one-group pretest-posttest design. The research subjects consisted of all 12 fourth-grade students at SDN Manjalling, selected using a saturated sampling technique. Research instruments included learning outcome tests (pretest and posttest) and student activity observation sheets. Data analysis utilized descriptive and inferential statistics with the aid of SPSS version 25 software. A normality test was conducted using the Shapiro-Wilk test, revealing that the pretest data were not normally distributed, whereas the posttest data were normally distributed. Consequently, hypothesis testing was performed using the Wilcoxon Signed-Rank Test. The results indicate an increase in the average student learning outcome score from 47.50 in the pretest to 86.67 in the posttest. The Wilcoxon test results showed an Asymp. Sig. (2-tailed) value of 0.002 (< 0.05); thus, the null hypothesis (H₀) was rejected and the alternative hypothesis (H₁) was accepted. It can be concluded that the use of flashcards has a significant effect on student learning outcomes regarding the identification of main ideas in reading texts among fourth-grade students at SDN Manjalling, Gowa Regency.

The study shows that agile practices improve both informal and formal communication, but indicates that, in larger development situations involving multiple external stakeholders, a mismatch of adequate communication mechanisms can sometimes even hinder the communication.
