Abstract

Burkholderia species, particularly B. glumae, B. gladioli, and B. plantarii are recognized as devastating bacterial pathogens in rice causing panicle blight, grain rot, and seedling blight, leading to substantial yield losses worldwide. Various control strategies have been explored to mitigate the disease, however research in this area remains limited. Hence, mapping these trends is essential to guide future research directions. This study applies a Scopus-Based bibliometric approach. Bibliographic data were obtained and analyzed through three tools including VOSviewer, Tableau, and Biblioshiny in Bibliometrix package RStudio using indicators such as sources and citations, keywords, authors, and network. A total of 121 documents were obtained for further analysis based on relevant keywords. The results revealed a fluctuation growth of publications. South Korea produced the highest volume of publications, with affiliation contributions led by Seoul National University. The keyword “Burkholderia glumae” emerged as the most frequent term. Hwang I and Kim J were identified as the most prolific. These findings offer plant pathologists a key reference for developing effective, sustainable disease management strategies. Future work should integrate biological, genomics, virulence, and toxin perspectives to enhance innovation and tackle the ongoing challenges posed by Burkholderia pathogens.

Status of Arbuscular Mycorrhizal Fungi Research in Pakistan: A Comprehensive Review of Diversity, Distribution, and Agricultural Applications

Background: Around 80% of land vascular plants are obligate symbiotic to Arbuscular Mycorrhizal Fungi (AMF). They are very important to the acquisition of nutrients and the functioning of ecosystems. The role of AMF in stress tolerance is also important. Methods: Between 1976 and 2020, mycorrhizal studies (80) conducte...
