Abstract

The article examines the formative dimension of didactic communication in foreign language teaching and emphasizes its central role in the development of communicative competence. Communication is understood as the fundamental medium of teaching and learning, influencing cognitive, social, and emotional processes alike. The teacher assumes a key role by designing, guiding, and adapting communication processes to the needs of the learners. Didactic communication is described as a complex, multichannel interaction process that includes verbal, nonverbal, and paraverbal elements and is shaped by feedback. Moreover, it contributes to the development of skills such as critical thinking, creativity, empathy, and a willingness to cooperate. Overall, the text highlights that effective didactic communication is an essential prerequisite for successful teaching and sustainable competence development.
