Abstract
This study was motivated by the low enthusiasm of elementary students in social studies learning and the limited use of information technology as instructional media. It aimed to develop Microsoft PowerPoint Slide Show multimedia for the topic of Hindu, Buddhist, and Islamic kingdoms in Indonesia for fourth-grade elementary school students and to examine its feasibility and effectiveness. This study used a research and development method by adapting the Borg and Gall model into eight stages: data collection, planning, product development, expert validation, revision, limited trial, field trial, and final product refinement. The subjects consisted of one media expert, one classroom teacher as a material expert, 15 students in the limited trial, and 37 students in the field trial at SD Negeri Parerejo I, Purwodadi, Pasuruan. Data were collected through observation, interviews, expert validation sheets, and student response questionnaires, and were analyzed descriptively using percentage scores. The results showed that media expert validation reached 91% and material expert validation reached 100%, both in the very valid category. Student responses reached 81.1% in the limited trial and 83.41% in the field trial, indicating that the product was feasible, practical, and effective for social studies learning.
