Abstract
Arthrinium species are promising producers of terpenoids with diverse architectures and noteworthy pharmacological properties. In this work, ten undescribed terpestacin-type sesterterpenoids, arthritacins A–J (1–10), together with five known analogues (11–15), were obtained from the endophytic fungus Arthrinium sp. HS66 isolated from the stems of Isodon xerophilus. Their structures were established through comprehensive spectroscopic analysis, semisynthesis, and NMR calculations, further supported by DP4+ probability analysis. The semisynthetic studies further helped confirm the biosynthetically ambiguous configurations at C-11 and C-23 in terpestacin derivatives. All compounds were evaluated for cytotoxic activity against human neuroblastoma cells. Among them, compounds 1, 2, 4, 6, 7, 9, 12 and 13 showed moderate antiproliferative effects, with IC50 values ranging from 21.13 to 36.54 µM.
Compounds 1–4 showed antifungal and anti-inflammatory activities, and 1 exhibited the strongest inhibition against Candida albicans together with selective cytotoxicity toward A549 cells, expanding the chemical and biological diversity of pimarane diterpenoids from P. scoparia.

New prenylated isoindolinone alkaloids, aspernidines C-E (1–3), a new diketopiperazine alkaloid, protubonine C (4), and new polyketides, (±)-asperisocoumarin J and asperisocoumarin K (5 and 6), were isolated from the mangrove-derived fungus Aspergillus sp. SCSIO 41440, together with six known compounds (7–12). Comprehe...

Artemisiverins A1-A32 (1‒32), undescribed guaiane-type sesquiterpenoid dimers, and 23 known analogues (33‒55) were obtained from Artemisia sieversiana Ehrhart ex Willd. (Asteraceae). The structures of compounds 1‒32 were identified through comprehensive spectroscopic analysis, ECD calculations, and X-ray diffraction. T...

Many species of genus Salvia (Lamiaceae) are important edible spices and medicinal plants with a long history. In this study, seven undescribed germacrane-type sesquiterpenoids, salsubstolins A-G (1−7), together with four known sesquiterpenoids (8−11), were isolated from the 95% ethanol extract of the whole plants of...

From the endophytic fungus Diaporthe phaseolorum associated with Polygonatum cyrtonema Hua, nine carboxamides were isolated, comprising five new compounds, phaseolorines A-E (1-3a, 4a, 6), along with four known compounds (3b, 5, 7, 8). Compounds 1-3 feature a rare 3-imidazolinozone structural unit, previously reported...
