NRP1 silencing induces ROS-mediated cell cycle arrest and mitochondrial apoptosis in non-small cell lung cancer via upregulation of AGER
Medicine
Abstract
Highlights • NRP1 is significantly upregulated, whereas AGER is downregulated in NSCLC tissues.• Silencing NRP1 inhibits NSCLC cell proliferation and induces G1 phase arrest.• NRP1 knockdown triggers mitochondria-dependentk apoptosis and ROS accumulation.• AGER overexpression suppresses cell growth and mimics the effects of NRP1 silencing.• The NRP1–AGER axis regulates oxidative stress–mediated tumor progression in NSCLC.
