Keadilan Distribusi Ekonomi Islam dalam Mengatasi Ketimpangan Sosial di Indonesia

Jul 2026 · Journal of islamic economics and finance · Vol 5, pp. 45-61 · 0 citations

Abstract

This study aims to examine how the distributive justice principles of Islamic economics can serve as a conceptual framework for addressing socioeconomic inequality in Indonesia through the integration of Islamic social finance instruments, Sharia financing, and supportive public policies. The study is motivated by persistent disparities in income, asset ownership, and access to essential public services, which indicate the limited effectiveness of conventional distribution mechanisms in promoting inclusive development. A qualitative approach was employed using a library research design. Data were collected through a systematic review of scholarly publications, government regulations, institutional reports, and relevant policy documents, and subsequently analyzed using content analysis and thematic synthesis. The findings reveal that the integrated implementation of zakat, waqf, sadaqah, infaq, and Sharia financing based on distributive justice principles has substantial potential to strengthen wealth redistribution, enhance community economic empowerment, expand financial inclusion, and reduce socioeconomic disparities, provided that these instruments are supported by accountable governance, adequate Islamic economic literacy, and effective institutional coordination. The study demonstrates that Islamic economics provides a comprehensive distribution model that balances economic efficiency with social equity and sustainable welfare. These findings offer practical implications for policymakers in designing adaptive and equitable distribution policies rooted in Islamic economic principles. The originality of this study lies in proposing an integrative conceptual framework that connects Islamic social finance, Sharia financing, and public policy into a unified distributive justice model to support inclusive and sustainable economic development.
