CONTEMPORARY SCIENTIFIC APPROACHES TO THE TRAINING OF SPECIALISTS IN TERMS OF METHODOLOGICAL ESSENCE AND TECHNOLOGICAL POTENTIAL

Abstract

This article attempts to justify the methodological essence and technological potential of modern scientific approaches to training specialists in institutions of higher and vocational education. The relevance of the study is explained by the need to transition from the fragmented use of individual methodologies to a holistic design of the educational process based on systematicity, competency-based outcomes, the contextual nature of professional activity, and cultural relevance. Based on an analysis of Ukrainian and international scholarly sources, it has been determined that the scientific approach in modern pedagogy cannot be regarded as a general research stance; rather, it serves as a methodological regulator that defines the procedural logic underlying the selection of educational content, forms of instructional organization, modes of interaction among participants in the educational process, and criteria for evaluating learning outcomes. The potential of systemic, competency-based, contextual, and cultural approaches to modernizing the training of specialists is explored. It is emphasized that a systematic scientific approach provides a holistic view of the educational process; a competency-based approach focuses training on measurable outcomes; a contextual approach strengthens the link between learning and the conditions of professional practice; and a cultural approach highlights the value-based and sociocultural dimensions of a specialist’s development. It has been demonstrated that the technological potential of the selected scientific approaches lies in their ability to transform theoretical principles into educational technologies, models, algorithms, diagnostic procedures, digital environments, practice-oriented tasks, and diverse assessment tools. It has been concluded that the integrative use of scientific approaches is advisable, since the isolated application of any single approach limits the professional development of future specialists and fails to ensure that their training meets contemporary educational challenges.
