Abstract
This paper presents "Imersiva," an integrated system designed to enhance English language conversation practice through the synergy of Virtual Reality (VR), Generative Artificial Intelligence (AI), and real-time pedagogical monitoring. While traditional methods often struggle with student anxiety and lack of immersion, "Imersiva" utilizes a service-oriented architecture to connect VR scenarios, such as a fruit market and a restaurant, with Large Language Models (LLMs) like Gemini 2.5 flash and GPT-5 mini. The system enables authentic, low-anxiety interactions with virtual agents while providing educators with a web-based dashboard for classroom orchestration. Preliminary results from usability and efficacy tests conducted with 15 participants, using a pre-test and post-test methodology, demonstrate significant improvements in conversational confidence and engagement. Evaluation through the System Usability Scale (SUS) yielded high scores, confirming the platform’s intuitive design and its potential as a high-impact teaching tool. These findings suggest that the integration of immersive XR environments and intelligent conversational agents can effectively bridge the gap in oral practice within the educational sphere.
