TL;DR

Findings identify circ_SMG6 as a potential therapeutic target in sevoflurane-based cardioprotection against MIRI through TLR4/mTOR-associated inflammatory and apoptotic signaling in cardiomyocytes, while sevoflurane attenuates myocardial injury, at least in part, by suppressing this circ_SMG6-related pathway.

Sevoflurane alleviates renal ischemia/reperfusion injury by upregulating miR-664-5p to activate the PI3K/AKT signaling axis.

BACKGROUND Sevoflurane treatment has been shown to effectively alleviate kidney ischemia-reperfusion injury, but the specific mechanism of its renal protective effects is still not entirely understood. This study aimed to uncover the potential mechanisms underlying the renoprotective effect of sevoflurane against ische...

Electroacupuncture preconditioning alleviates myocardial ischemia-reperfusion injury through reducing the inflammatory response mediated by the miR-146a/TRAF6/IRAK4 pathway

Objective(s): Myocardial ischemia-reperfusion injury (MIRI) lacks effective multi-target interventions. Electroacupuncture (EA) shows cardioprotective potential, but its molecular mechanisms remain incompletely understood. This study aimed to investigate whether EA exerts cardioprotective effects by modulating myocardi...

Blocking MyD88 Signaling Pathway Protects Against Myocardial Ischemia Reperfusion by Inhibiting NOX/ROS Pathway and Enhancing eNOS Activity

Myocardial ischemia–reperfusion injury (MIRI) remains a major complication in acute coronary syndrome and cardiac surgery, with oxidative stress and metabolic dysregulation serving as central pathogenic drivers. This study aimed to clarify whether the novel MyD88 inhibitor TJ-M2010-5 confers cardioprotection against MI...

PMEPA1 attenuates myocardial ischemia-reperfusion injury via interaction with NEDD4 and involvement of the TGF-β/SMAD pathway

Myocardial ischemia-reperfusion injury (MIRI) remains a significant challenge in cardiovascular medicine, and its molecular mechanisms are not yet fully elucidated. In the present study, integrated transcriptomic analysis combined with machine learning identified PMEPA1 as a key gene consistently downregul...

LncRNA DLX6-AS1 promotes necroptosis through PI3K/AKT/mTOR signaling pathway in myocardial ischemia/reperfusion injury mice

This article examined the effect of DLX6-AS1 on ischemia perfusion-induced myocardial injury caused by necroptosis and the underlying potential mechanism and identified the possible mechanism by overexpressing and inhibiting DLX6-AS1 expression.

CircRNA_0004468 promotes VEGFA-mediated neurovascular repair by sponging miR-1224 in remote ischemic postconditioning against cerebral ischemia-reperfusion injury.

In MCAO/R rats, RIPostC upregulated circRNA_0004468 and VEGFA, downregulated miR-1224, reduced infarct volume, alleviated neuronal injury, enhanced CD31 and CD34 expression, and improved neurological outcomes, which contributes to RIPostC-mediated neurovascular protection.
