Abstract

This bibliometric analysis aims to reveal the growing academic interest in the fields of ethical hacking and data privacy, and to examine the position of these two concepts within the ethical and security dynamics of the digital age. Within the scope of the research, studies published between 2015 and 2025 were systematically reviewed in the Web of Science database, and the data obtained were analyzed using VOSviewer and Python-based analytical tools. The analysis process focused on uncovering publication trends, thematic orientations, and interdisciplinary interactions in these fields. In the rapidly digitalizing world of today, ethical hacking practices and data privacy have gained not only technical but also social and ethical dimensions. This situation highlights the necessity of maintaining a balance between information security, individual privacy, and digital responsibility. Furthermore, the findings contribute to a deeper understanding of how ethical and technological perspectives converge in shaping modern cybersecurity paradigms. The study emphasizes the importance of ethics-based awareness in addressing the risks accompanying technological advancements and underlines that ethical hacker approaches and data protection strategies should be regarded as complementary elements in building secure, transparent, and human-centered digital ecosystems.
