Abstract
The work provides a critical analysis of the mechanisms for shaping the image of Russia's technological leadership in the digital environment, with special attention to the role of mimetic culture. It has been shown that this image does not function as a fixed «brand» or «image,» but as a mobile, open to transformation discourse that arises in the course of social practices and affects collective ideas about the country's development prospects and the image of the future as a whole. The authors of the work proceed from the position that the methodology of critical discourse analysis, formed by T.A. van Dijk, most fully allows us to consider technological leadership through the image as some set of semiotic interpreters, which, like DNA molecules, are a kind of carriers of cultural codes that reflect modern reality through the humorous, sarcastic and other visual context of memes. The applied significance of the study lies in the confirmation that the issue of technological leadership in the modern world is connected not only with scientific achievements, but also with semantic sovereignty in the digital environment. The key tool for constructing the image of Russia's technological leadership is discursive practices adapted to digital media, in which a meme plays the role of a dynamic unit of communication.
