The complete genome sequence of the attenuated human cytomegalovirus strain TR-VAC, developed for subviral particle vaccine production, is reported, without large-scale structural rearrangements.
Abstract
ABSTRACT We report the complete genome sequence of the attenuated human cytomegalovirus strain TR-VAC, developed for subviral particle vaccine production. Oxford Nanopore duplex sequencing confirmed all engineered modifications, including UL130 repair, UL25 stop codons, ddFKBP insertion, GFP deletion, and retention of the bacterial artificial chromosome backbone, without large-scale structural rearrangements.
ABSTRACT Here, we report the complete genome sequence of Prevotella bivia GTC 18476, isolated from a clinical specimen in Nagano, Japan. The genome comprises two circular chromosomes and one plasmid measuring 1,298,955 bp, 1,212,313 bp, and 19,020 bp, respectively.
ABSTRACT Anaplasma phagocytophilum is an obligate intracellular gram-negative bacterium and etiologic agent of human granulocytic anaplasmosis. A. phagocytophilum genomic sequencing has historically been performed via short-read platforms. Our optimized bacterial isolation protocol combined with Nanopore sequencing pro...

We sequenced measles-positive samples from the 2025 outbreak in Texas, USA, and identified the expansion of a closely related genotype D8 lineage within broader strain diversity from North America. F:H419R was used as a lineage-associated genomic surveillance marker. Our findings demonstrate that whole-genome sequencin...

ABSTRACT Here, we report the genome assembly and annotation of two clinical isolates of Naegleria fowleri from primary amebic meningoencephalitis cases in Costa Rica in 2020 using Illumina sequencing. Each assembly comprised 37 reference-guided scaffolds, with genome sizes of approximately 28 Mbp and a GC content of 36...
Using pseudovirus particles, it is shown that subclade K-HA drives augmented entry into certain cell lines and displays significant antibody evasion, suggesting that current vaccines may provide considerable protection.
