Results show that failures mainly stem from incomplete evidence acquisition from such a large multimodal database, imprecise tool use and weak constraint integration rather than model size or reasoning length, suggesting that future progress requires effective grounded planning instead of scaling alone.
Abstract
Geo-spatial planning, like trip design, is a realistic testbed for LLM agents because it requires grounded tool use, noisy evidence retrieval, and multi-constraint reasoning. Most benchmarks, however, only provide clean geospatial data and tools, missing the open-ended social signals that people use in daily planning. We introduce LifePlanner, a benchmark that enriches map data with large-scale local social media posts and provides access through an MCP toolset. LifePlanner provides an evaluation suite spanning four task categories and three difficulty levels. Experiments show frontier LLMs perform well on simple retrieval but degrade sharply on complex planning, with the Pass Rate dropping to 40.2%. Results show that failures mainly stem from incomplete evidence acquisition from such a large multimodal database, imprecise tool use, and weak constraint integration rather than model size or reasoning length, suggesting that future progress requires effective grounded planning instead of scaling alone.
GISAgentBench is introduced, a benchmark of 349 multi-step GIS tasks curated from GIS Stack Exchange and instantiated on real public data across six selected geographic areas of interest, enabling strict, deterministic, tolerance-aware output matching beyond LLM judging.

MultiGlobeQA is introduced, a multilingual benchmark of 46,060 question-answer pairs spanning 14 spatial-function families and 15 answer formats, with execution-based ground truth over three knowledge graphs, indicating that computation, not access to knowledge, is the bottleneck.

AgentFAIR, a multi-agent framework combining structured metadata extraction with 13 sub-principle-specific LLM evaluators, is presented, supporting auditability and feasibility, while the limited benchmark, incomplete ablations, and single-model-family validation constrain claims about accuracy and generalization.
This work introduces GeoAgent, an agentic environment-based benchmark that requires agents to navigate Street View environments to refine their geolocalization through sequential reasoning, and establishes the challenges of embodied navigation and geospatial reasoning.
