TL;DR

Remote CTG provides opportunities for personalized and optimized fetal monitoring, facilitates the timely detection of critical conditions, reduces the burden on inpatient facilities, and contributes to lower healthcare expenditures.

Abstract

Advanced telemedicine technologies enable remote cardiotocography (CTG) monitoring of the fetus, allowing patients to record data independently and send it to their physician for evaluation and clinical decision-making. This article presents two clinical cases of patients at high risk for perinatal complications who were diagnosed with intrauterine hypoxia using remote CTG. Conclusion. Remote CTG provides opportunities for personalized and optimized fetal monitoring, facilitates the timely detection of critical conditions, reduces the burden on inpatient facilities, and contributes to lower healthcare expenditures. Key words: intrauterine hypoxia, remote monitoring, fetal distress, cardiotocography, electronic fetal monitoring

Prediction of Perinatal Complications Using Remote Cardiotocography in Pregnant Women with a Burdened Obstetric History

Introduction. The article presents a clinical and organizational analysis of the use of remote cardiotocographic monitoring in pregnant women at high perinatal risk in the Samarkand region. The relevance of this topic is determined by the need for early detection of signs of intrauterine fetal distress, since conventio...

Non-invasive cardiac output monitoring in neonates: From technologic promise to clinical practice.

Due to the clinical importance of early detection of hemodynamic compromise and the limitations of transthoracic echocardiography (TTE) as an intermittent, operator-dependent assessment, the introduction of non-invasive cardiac output monitoring (NICOM) in the neonatal population has generated considerable interest. El...

Computerized cardiotocography and obstetric cholestasis: is it a useful tool?

BACKGROUND Intrahepatic cholestasis of pregnancy (ICP) is associated with an increased risk of adverse perinatal outcomes, including stillbirth. While computerized cardiotocography (cCTG) is a standard tool for fetal surveillance, the specific impact of maternal biochemical severity on cCTG parameters remains poorly de...

Clinical utility of inpatient monitoring for reduced fetal movements in the absence of fetal pathology

Evidence on the follow-up of women with reduced fetal movements (RFM) and physiological fetal parameters at initial assessment is limited. We evaluated whether inpatient monitoring provides additional clinical value in this population. In this retrospective study, women with a first episode of RFM and physiological fet...
