Abstract
SeraEdit is local-first research software for scoped, source-bound MusicXML editing through ScorePatch transactions, deterministic validation and reversible execution. This SoftwareX R1 revision corrects fixture reproducibility and source-archive completeness, and includes saved DeepSeek three-condition outputs, a 200-case constructed-error study, and native MuseScore bridge evidence. On the development benchmark, strict editing success is 72/110 for Full Rewrite, 65/110 for Patch Only and 63/110 for Sera Full. Sera Full records no measured non-target changes among 73 output scores, but erroneously refuses 34 executable requests. These results demonstrate a protection/completion tradeoff, not overall superiority or held-out generalization. The 720-run rule-based replay is regression evidence on the same benchmark. Hosted CI passed 447 Python tests from an isolated source archive, 133 frontend tests, the production build, and 14 saved-live-evidence checks. The uploaded archives retain the exact tested bytes. Detailed commit provenance and verification reports are included. This deposit contains source and research evidence, with no new desktop installer. The manuscript snapshot represents the tested preparation stage; its pending publication fields do not describe the final journal submission. The original version remains at https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.22128976. Code is MIT licensed; the synthetic benchmark is CC0-1.0. Dependencies retain their own licenses.
This publication proposes a definition and a classification of agile software development approaches and analyses ten software development methods that can be characterized as being "agile" against the defined criterion.

The study shows that agile practices improve both informal and formal communication, but indicates that, in larger development situations involving multiple external stakeholders, a mismatch of adequate communication mechanisms can sometimes even hinder the communication.

The results show that the embedded industry has been able to apply agile methods in its development processes and that the appreciation of the agile methods and their individual practices appears to increase once adopted and applied in practice.

Consequences of happiness and unhappiness that are beneficial and detrimental for developers' mental well-being, the software development process, and the produced artifacts are found.
