Entrepreneurship and corporate social responsibility
Abstract
This paper examines corporate social responsibility (CSR) in modern entrepreneurship, focusing on its role in sustainable business development. CSR is defined as a voluntary commitment that integrates economic, social, and environmental objectives into business practice. The paper highlights the key CSR principles, sustainability, accountability, and transparency and their importance in responsible decision-making. The study also explores how entrepreneurship influences CSR implementation due to the specific characteristics of small, owner-managed firms. Entrepreneurs contribute to economic growth, innovation, and employment, while also affecting society and the environment. Their personal values and stakeholder relationships play an important role in shaping CSR practices. The findings indicate that CSR-oriented entrepreneurship improves stakeholder trust, reputation, and long-term competitiveness. Overall, CSR represents an essential framework that supports both business success and social well-being.
