Code for Annual Min–Max Scaling Alters Trend Classification in a Remote-Sensing Ecological Index

Oct 2026 · Zenodo (CERN European Organization for Nuclear Research)

Abstract

Python code accompanying “Annual Min–Max Scaling Alters Trend Classification in a Remote-Sensing Ecological Index”. The analysis uses four Landsat components to compare standardization, PCA loadings and annual output scaling in the Yellow River Basin during 2015–2024. README.md contains installation instructions, public data sources and the processing steps. Parameters are in config/parameters.json, and basin/grid settings are in config/study.yaml. The package includes scripts, the rsei Python module and 28 tests. The archive contains code and instructions only. Derived annual inputs are available from the manuscript’s corresponding author on reasonable request. Source extraction requires the reader’s own registered Earth Engine project and credentials. Public source collections may be reprocessed, so fresh extraction can differ from retained inputs. Software is distributed under the MIT license. Original source-product attribution and terms remain applicable.
