Abstract
Offline Learning Portal is a Windows-based school LAN resource portal for locally hosting and organising authorised educational materials. NGINX serves the portal and its resources, while NSSM manages the Windows service. Teachers and learners access it through a browser on a device connected to the school’s LAN or Wi-Fi. Version 1.1.0 includes interactive Windows installation and removal, a searchable local resource catalogue, catalogue-generation tools, bundled NGINX and NSSM components with third-party notices, and three illustrated beginner guides: Setup and Access — 4 pages Add and Organise Resources — 10 pages Kiwix and Advanced Resources — 10 pages The guides cover organising files and folders, creating simple HTML/CSS/JavaScript activities, generating resource lists with Python, and adding permitted multimedia. Editable guide sources and lesson examples are included. Optional Kiwix/ZIM hosting is documented as a separate service; Kiwix software and ZIM collections are not included. The project owner reports that Windows testing passed for the portal. The validation and test-history files describe the recorded scope and evidence. Optional Kiwix and reverse-proxy deployment require separate validation. The portal demonstrates a way to organise and deliver educational resources; it does not establish educational effectiveness. Original project code, documentation, and examples are licensed under MIT. Bundled third-party components retain their own licences and notices. School-added resources require appropriate permission and are not automatically covered by the project’s MIT licence. The study shows that agile practices improve both informal and formal communication, but indicates that, in larger development situations involving multiple external stakeholders, a mismatch of adequate communication mechanisms can sometimes even hinder the communication.

The results show that the embedded industry has been able to apply agile methods in its development processes and that the appreciation of the agile methods and their individual practices appears to increase once adopted and applied in practice.
