Abstract

This study aims to describe the manifestation of Pedagogical Content Knowledge (PCK) of Elementary School Teacher Education (PGSD) students in analyzing elementary school students' language errors through microteaching videos. The study used a qualitative approach with a qualitative content analysis design. The data sources were eight microteaching videos purposively selected from 25 student videos based on their suitability with the research objectives. The data were analyzed using a PCK rubric that includes Knowledge of Content , Knowledge of Students' Understanding , and Knowledge of Instructional Strategies . The results showed that all students had demonstrated good mastery of the Knowledge of Content and Knowledge of Instructional Strategies aspects . However, abilities in the Knowledge of Students' Understanding aspect still varied, especially in analyzing the causes of errors and identifying student misconceptions. These findings indicate that the development of PGSD students' PCK needs to be directed at strengthening diagnostic competencies so that prospective teachers are able to design Indonesian language learning that is more responsive to students' learning needs.
