Engineering and Information TechnologyDecision Support System Applications
Abstract
The development of digital technology has provided opportunities for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) to improve the management and marketing of their products. One of the MSMEs that requires digital support is Elisa Tenun dan Buah, which manages and sells traditional Sumba woven fabrics. The sales and product management process requires an information system that can facilitate product data management, stock management, customer data, sales transactions, and reporting. This study aims to design and implement a web-based sales information system for Elisa Tenun dan Buah MSME. The research used a descriptive approach combined with the Waterfall software development model. Data were collected through observation, interviews, documentation, and literature studies. The system was developed using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, and MySQL. Functional testing was designed using the Black Box Testing method to examine whether each system function operates according to the specified requirements. The resulting system is designed to provide integrated management of product information, stock, customer data, sales transactions, and sales reports. The implementation of the system is expected to support more efficient sales administration, improve information accessibility, and expand the marketing potential of traditional Sumba woven fabrics through digital media. The system also provides a technological medium for supporting the promotion and preservation of traditional woven-fabric products in the digital era.

The study shows that agile practices improve both informal and formal communication, but indicates that, in larger development situations involving multiple external stakeholders, a mismatch of adequate communication mechanisms can sometimes even hinder the communication.
