Abstract
Abstract — This research is motivated by the need for a more efficient, accurate, and automated internship attendance system at the Bank Indonesia Representative Office in North Sulawesi Province. The main objective is to design and develop an internship attendance system based on Radio Frequency Identification that is integrated with a web platform, in order to accelerate attendance validation and reduce errors arising from manual recording. The applied methodology includes requirements analysis, the design of an Internet of Things‑oriented system architecture, implementation of both hardware and software components, and functional testing of card reading and attendance data management processes. The proposed system introduces an innovation in the form of contactless, automated attendance with real‑time monitoring of interns’ presence through a web interface. Experimental results indicate that the system achieves a card reading success rate of approximately 95% with a low error level, thereby improving the overall efficiency of internship administration. The study concludes that the developed system effectively supports the digitalization of attendance administration and can serve as a reference for the design of similar systems in other organizational contexts.
