Abstract

VirtualQueue — Research Software v0.1.0 Overview This release provides the research code, simulation data, experimental results, and reproducibility materials supporting the study: Delay-Violation Alarms with Incomplete Packet Reports: Scenario-Held-Out and Independent-Trace Queueing Tests The project investigates delay-violation prediction under incomplete, delayed, and sampled packet feedback. Included materials Python source code for the queueing simulation and evaluation. Queueing-theory and machine-learning baselines. Four-fold scenario-disjoint evaluation. Experiments across independent simulation traces. Telemetry degradation and robustness analyses. Experimental results, figures, and statistical summaries. Documentation and automated reproducibility checks. Scope and limitations The experiments use a controlled FIFO queueing simulator. The release does not contain real-world 5G measurements. Results should be interpreted within the simulated conditions. Reproducibility See README.md for instructions, experimental configurations, dependencies, and available results. Citation Citation metadata is provided in CITATION.cff. This release is intended for archival through Zenodo to obtain a persistent DOI. Version: v0.1.0 Release date: 9 October 2026

The impact of agile practices on communication in software development

The study shows that agile practices improve both informal and formal communication, but indicates that, in larger development situations involving multiple external stakeholders, a mismatch of adequate communication mechanisms can sometimes even hinder the communication.

Agile methods in European embedded software development organisations: a survey on the actual use and usefulness of Extreme Programming and Scrum

The results show that the embedded industry has been able to apply agile methods in its development processes and that the appreciation of the agile methods and their individual practices appears to increase once adopted and applied in practice.
