Abstract

This research explores the transition from traditional data fabric architectures to intelligent data mesh models for large-scale cloud enterprises. It examines how Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning, automated data discovery, data classification, quality monitoring, and compliance management can support effective governance across decentralized data ecosystems. The study presents an integrated framework combining domain-oriented data products, self-service data infrastructure, and federated governance to improve scalability, data quality, security, and operational efficiency. It also discusses architectural patterns, implementation strategies, organizational challenges, and the role of AI-driven automation in enterprise data management. This work provides insights for researchers, data architects, cloud professionals, enterprise IT leaders, and organizations interested in AI-enabled data governance and modern cloud data architectures. Keywords: Data Mesh, Data Fabric, AI Governance, Cloud Computing, Data Architecture, Federated Governance, Data Management, Machine Learning.

Gender, Race, and Intersectional Bias in Resume Screening via Language Model Retrieval

This work investigates the possibilities of using LLMs in a resume screening setting via a document retrieval framework that simulates job candidate selection and finds that the MTEs are biased, significantly favoring White-associated names in 85% of cases and female-associated names in only 11.1% of cases.
