Abstract
This study aims to determine the influence of motivation, job market, and social status on students' interest in taking accounting certification at the National Islamic University of Indonesia. The method used in this study is a quantitative research method with a multiple linear regression equation model. In this study, the data source used is data from field research. The population in this study were students majoring in accounting with a sample of 74 respondents. The results of this study are motivation has a positive and significant effect on interest in taking accounting certification with a regression coefficient value of 0.893. The job market has a positive and significant effect on student interest in taking accounting certification with a coefficient of 0.603. Social status has a positive and significant effect on students' interest in pursuing accounting certification, with a regression coefficient of 0.395. The regression equation obtained in this research model is Y = 3.184 + 0.893 (X1) + 0.603 (X2) + 0.395 (X3). This result is supported by a coefficient of determination analysis of 0.880, indicating that 88% of the variation in the variable "Student Interest in Pursuing Accounting Certification" can be explained by the three variables: Motivation, Job Market, and Social Status together. The remaining 12% is influenced by other variables not examined in this study.
