Organizational Trust and AI-Enabled HRM Adoption as Predictors of Organizational Commitment Evidence from a State-Owned Automotive Manufacturing Company
Abstract
The aim of this research was to evaluate the role of organizational trust and the use of artificial intelligence in human resource management (AI-HRM) on employees' organizational commitment at the General Company for Automotive Industry-Iraq. It utilized a quantitative design that was cross-sectional. A structured questionnaire was used to collect the data from 320 employees. The results showed that organizational trust and AI-HRM adoption have a significant and positive effect on organizational commitment. The model has a low explanatory capacity, which may indicate that another intervening variable is at play not captured in the model. The results also showed that organizational trust and AI-HRM adoption were not significantly associated. This suggests that the two constructs may not have a close enough association within the organizational context studied to cause a correlated outcome.
