Abstract

Simple Summary Cutaneous squamous cell carcinoma (cSCC) is the second most common type of skin cancer. Although anti-PD-1 immunotherapy has significantly improved treatment outcomes for patients with advanced disease, a substantial portion of individuals do not respond, and reliable pretreatment tools to predict success are currently lacking. This study explores whether a scoring system called the Global Immune–Nutrition–Inflammation Index (GINI), which combines routine laboratory measurements of inflammation and nutritional status, can predict survival in cSCC. The findings demonstrate that a high GINI score is strongly linked to poorer treatment response and shorter survival. This practical index has the potential to help clinicians identify high-risk patients early and inform risk assessment and clinical monitoring, potentially supporting future treatment planning.
