TL;DR
Lower CALLY index values were associated with 30-day all-cause mortality after CAS and showed potentially useful discriminatory ability, however, only 11 deaths occurred, resulting in considerable uncertainty around the performance estimates.
The CALLY index was independently associated with one-year all-cause mortality in patients with APE and demonstrated higher discriminatory performance than PNI and SII and may provide additional prognostic information for long-term risk assessment in APE.

BACKGROUND
The C-reactive protein-albumin-lymphocyte (CALLY) index reflects systemic inflammation, nutritional status, and immune competence. However, its prognostic significance in patients undergoing living donor liver transplantation (LDLT) for hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) remains unclear.

Acute pulmonary embolism (PE) requires rapid risk stratification to predict early mortality. We aimed to evaluate the prognostic value of the C-reactive protein-albumin-lymphocyte (CALLY) index and C-reactive protein-to-albumin ratio (CAR) in predicting in-hos...

OBJECTIVES
To compare the prognostic performance of the preoperative C-reactive protein to albumin ratio (CAR), systemic immune-inflammation index (SII), systemic inflammation response index, pan-immune-inflammation value (PIV), and hemoglobin-albumin-lymphocyte-platelet score for predicting mortality after isolated co...

Lower admission CALLY was independently associated with CA-AKI and showed moderate discriminatory ability and Prospective multicenter studies are needed to validate these findings and establish clinical utility.

The CALLY index is a strong and independent predictor of 30-day and long-term all-cause mortality after cardiac surgery and may provide valuable incremental prognostic information for perioperative risk stratification.
