TL;DR

Per-waypoint depth-conditioned adapter PathLift is presented, a per-waypoint depth-conditioned adapter that lifts a pre-trained visual-navigation policy by consuming an explicit, sensor-grade depth source and fitting per-waypoint magnitude and lateral residuals to a canonicalized prior.

Abstract

Generalist visual-navigation policies tell a robot which direction to go but not how far. A separate lifting step is needed at deployment to convert their unitless trajectory into a metric path that a controller can track; existing scalar lifters apply uniform scaling that misses per-waypoint corrections, while in-policy approaches that inject monocular depth into the policy inherit the prediction errors of the depth model near obstacles and at close range. We present PathLift, a per-waypoint depth-conditioned adapter that lifts a pre-trained visual-navigation policy by consuming an explicit, sensor-grade depth source (RGB-D, stereo, or projected LiDAR) and fitting per-waypoint magnitude and lateral residuals to a canonicalized prior. PathLift consistently improves closed-loop navigation across diverse visual-navigation policies in simulation and on a real wheeled robot under both stereo and LiDAR depth. By turning the policy's unitless intent into a depth-feasible metric path in a single feed-forward pass, the adapter lifts real-world success without test-time optimization.

Sensor-Layout-Agnostic Navigation via Geometric Observation Canonicalization

Existing visual navigation policies are inherently bound to fixed camera configurations, creating a fundamental barrier to zero-shot deployment across heterogeneous robot sensor layouts. To overcome this limitation, we present an embodiment-informed navigation policy capable of generalizing across diverse depth sensor...

ACR-Nav: Localization-Free Corridor Navigation via Action-Conditioned Scalar-Range Evolution

ACR-Nav is introduced, an action-conditioned range navigation framework that converts scalar-range evolution into closed-loop progress information and can support goal-directed, segment-level navigation within locally straight corridor passages without exposing robot pose or target bearing to the policy.

Stereo-Planner: Learning Stereo-to-Trajectory Planning for Zero-Shot Sim-to-Real Quadrotor Navigation

Existing navigation systems commonly rely on dedicated depth sensors or explicit depth reconstruction, while learning to generate trajectories directly from RGB images remains challenging due to the sim-to-real domain gap. In this work, we propose Stereo-Planner, an end-to-end vision-to-trajectory framework that enable...
