TL;DR

How emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence, machine learning, blockchain and metaverse-based interfaces are integrated to enhance customer experience and operational efficiency is explored, with emphasis on the role of shared values in shaping strategy, leadership and organizational readiness.

Abstract

This study aims to examine how digital cultural values, collaboration, innovation and customer-centricity enable successful technological adoption in the banking sector's digital transformation journey. It explores how emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning (ML), blockchain and metaverse-based interfaces are integrated to enhance customer experience and operational efficiency, with emphasis on the role of shared values in shaping strategy, leadership and organizational readiness. A qualitative, case-based exploratory design is adopted. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews with senior managers across strategy, innovation, technology and customer experience functions. These were supplemented with secondary sources, including policy documents, digital strategy reports and industry analyses. Thematic analysis was used to identify cultural patterns and organizational factors influencing digital adoption in a regulated banking context. The findings show that digital cultural values are critical enablers of successful technological adoption. Collaboration enhances cross-functional coordination and accelerates integration of emerging technologies. Innovation fosters experimentation and openness to AI, ML and immersive tools. Customer-centricity ensures that digital investments improve accessibility, transparency and service quality. Collectively, these values strengthen adaptability, operational efficiency and ecosystem integration, highlighting that cultural alignment is as important as technological capability in digital transformation. The study positions digital cultural values as central enablers of technology adoption, extending digital transformation literature beyond technological capability perspectives. It contributes to theory by showing how shared values mediate the relationship between emerging technologies and service transformation in regulated banking environments. Practically, it offers guidance for building culturally aligned digital strategies that improve adoption, trust and customer experience.

The Impact of Digital Transformation on Organizational Performance: A Systematic Review

Digital transformation has become an important strategic priority for organizations seeking to improve efficiency, innovation, customer engagement, and long-term competitiveness. The increasing adoption of cloud computing, artificial intelligence, big data analytics, Internet of Things technologies, and digital collaboration platforms has changed the way organizations operate and create value. However, the implementation of digital technologies alone does not necessarily lead to improved organizational performance. Successful transformation also depends on organizational culture, leadership, employee capabilities, business processes, and strategic alignment. This paper examines the relationship between digital transformation and organizational performance through a systematic review of existing academic literature. The review focuses on the major mechanisms through which digital transformation can influence operational efficiency, innovation, decision-making, customer experience, and competitive advantage. The findings indicate that digital transformation can generate substantial performance improvements when technological investments are integrated with organizational and human capabilities. The study also identifies common challenges, including resistance to change, cybersecurity risks, insufficient digital skills, high implementation costs, and difficulties in integrating legacy systems. The paper concludes that organizations should approach digital transformation as an organizational change process rather than simply as a technology adoption exercise.

From Momentum to Digital Culture: A Three-Phase Framework for Digital Transformation in Schools

Digital transformation has become a strategic priority in education, yet existing research predominantly emphasizes technology adoption, digital readiness, and maturity, providing limited explanation of how schools institutionalize digital practices and develop sustainable digital cultures. This study addresses this gap by developing an empirically grounded three-phase framework that conceptualizes digital transformation as an evolving institutional process rather than a linear technology adoption trajectory. Employing a qualitative case study design, the study investigated digital transformation at SMPN 7 Mataram, Indonesia, using in-depth interviews with 24 participants, including school leaders, teachers, and IT coordinators, complemented by document analysis of policy frameworks and implementation reports from 2019 to 2024. Data were analyzed using thematic analysis, constant comparison, and chronological mapping to identify patterns across organizational practices. Findings reveal three interconnected phases: momentum creation, structural integration, and cultural actualization. Momentum creation was triggered by external pressures, particularly the COVID-19 pandemic, accelerating ICT adoption. Structural integration involved institutionalizing digital practices through integrated school portals, curriculum integration, and digitally supported administrative processes. Cultural actualization emerged when digital technology became embedded in organizational routines and students shifted from passive consumers to active digital creators. Transformation was facilitated by leadership commitment, peer-mentoring networks, professional development, and community partnerships, but constrained by digital literacy disparities, infrastructure limitations, resource constraints, and resistance to change. The study contributes theoretically by extending digital transformation scholarship toward an organization and culture-centered perspective. Practically, the framework provides policymakers and school leaders with a strategic reference for strengthening institutional capacity, infrastructure, governance, and sustainable digital culture.

Digital Transformation, Innovation, and Organizational Growth: Emerging Trends in Modern Management

Digital technologies are reshaping organizations across industries and changing the way managers approach innovation, decision-making, and organizational growth. The study explores how digital transformation, organizational innovation, and growth are connected by synthesizing relevant management research. It approaches digital transformation as an organization-wide process rather than simply the introduction of new technological tools. From this perspective, digital change can influence strategic priorities, organizational culture, leadership practices, internal structures, and the way decisions are made. The paper reviews emerging management trends, including data-driven decision-making, agile organizational structures, digital leadership, and innovation ecosystems, and considers their implications for organizational performance and competitiveness. The literature indicates that digital transformation does not automatically lead to organizational growth. Its contribution depends on how effectively organizations develop the capabilities needed to adopt, integrate, and use digital technologies. In particular, organizational culture, leadership readiness, and innovation capacity influence whether digital investments are converted into meaningful organizational outcomes. The paper also discusses practical challenges associated with digital transformation and the need to align technological initiatives with broader strategic and organizational capabilities. The analysis suggests that sustainable growth in digitally changing environments requires a combination of technological adoption, innovation capability, effective leadership, and organizational adaptability. The paper concludes by identifying implications for managers and areas for further research, especially the need for longitudinal and empirical studies examining how digital capabilities develop and contribute to organizational growth over time.

Digital Business Communication Strategy in Logistics Companies Amid Technological Transformation and Innovation at PT XYX Jakarta

Digital transformation in the logistics industry has created significant challenges related to organizational communication, employee adaptation, and the implementation of innovation. While previous studies have primarily focused on technology adoption and operational efficiency, limited attention has been given to the strategic role of digital business communication in supporting technological transformation. Therefore, this study aims to analyze the digital business communication strategy implemented by PT XYZ Jakarta in managing technological transformation and innovation. Guided by Sensemaking Theory (Weick) and Diffusion of Innovations Theory (Rogers), this study explores how organizational members interpret technological change and how digital innovations are communicated and adopted within the organization. Using a qualitative case study approach, data were collected through direct observation and in-depth interviews with employees and management. The findings from the interviews and observations reveal that digital business communication plays a crucial role in strengthening real-time coordination, stakeholder engagement, organizational learning, and innovation adoption. The novelty of this study lies in integrating sensemaking and innovation diffusion perspectives to explain digital business communication as a strategic capability that facilitates technological transformation in logistics organizations. However, challenges such as gaps in digital literacy, information overload, and resistance to change remain barriers to successful transformation. This study is limited to a single logistics company and focuses primarily on communication processes rather than evaluating technological performance or operational outcomes, thereby providing a contextual understanding of the role of communication in digital transformation.
